Affiliate Disclosure
RVTally earns commissions from Outdoorsy and RVShare when readers book an RV through links on this site. We are a participant in affiliate programs operated through Commission Junction (CJ).
How the affiliate relationship works
When you click a link to Outdoorsy or RVShare on RVTally and subsequently complete a booking, we receive a commission. The commission structure varies by platform and is subject to change — current terms are governed by each program's agreement through Commission Junction.
How it affects our recommendations
It doesn't — or rather, we've tried to design the site so that it can't. Here's the specific reasoning we apply:
- Outdoorsy is our default primary CTA on neutral comparison pages. This is because their booking-confirmation payout model has less leakage risk, not because they pay more per booking. We disclose this reasoning on the platform comparison page.
- On content where RVShare is genuinely the better fit for the reader (monthly rentals, RVShare-specific queries, rural inventory needs), RVShare is the primary CTA.
- We don't recommend platforms based on commission rates. We recommend based on fee structure transparency, insurance terms, and payout reliability — then explain our reasoning.
- We have not been paid by either platform to write about them, and we don't accept sponsored placement or sponsored rankings.
FTC compliance
Per FTC guidelines, affiliate links on RVTally are marked with rel="nofollow sponsored"and accompanied by disclosure language in articles and in the site footer. This page constitutes our full material connection disclosure.
Content accuracy
Rental platform fees, terms, and policies change. Every effort is made to keep articles current — the modification date on each article reflects the last review. Always verify conditions directly with the platform before completing a booking.
